The First Alert CO615 Dual-Power Carbon Monoxide Plug-In Alarm alerts you to dangerous carbon monoxide. This carbon monoxide detector features a backlit digital display that shows at a glance the carbon monoxide level in the room, as well as the unit”s power level. The dual-power design with battery backup means this personal carbon monoxide detector can monitor even in the event of a power outage. It plugs into any 120-volt outlet and features an end-of-life timer that lets you know when the monitor needs to be replaced. A single silence and test button eliminates confusion and allows you to silence and test the alarm easily. Ensure the outlet has power. Activate the battery back-up by installing the two (2) AA batteries. The battery is for back-up only and is not intended to power the Alarm for an extended period of time in the absence of AC. The Alarm will light-up the display briefly to indicate the unit is receiving power. Press and hold test button to ensure activation.
